MacGuffin's Curse Part 5: Water and Archives Don't Mix

So the original plan was to have an extra large update because the junkyard is kind of small. Well that didn't happen. So now you get two updates in one week!

I think you mean bully! Silly voice in the corner.
Her "key" better work considering, IT'S A DAMN AXE.

Why is there a pond in your archives? That's the last thing you want to have near valuable objects. Granted the item descriptions reveal a good chunk of these are fake, but still.

Now we get to the actual puzzles. This puzzle is fairly intuitive, but they will get worse.

Like here. Here I've screwed up the sliding block puzzle (aaaarrgghhhh) by pushing the metal crate (hate you so much) in to this corner.

 Hmmmm, right?
 No definitely not right.
Magical Strump-Granted Reset Powers activate!

Righter than I knew! Of  course.

If you stand still/take too long (i'm not sure which), Strump will call you asking for help. It happened when I went to let the cat in and get more delicious tea caffeine.

 BUSTED!
oh. Well this guy wants us to get his badge by talking to the mayor, but there's no time for that now. There are three doors to open! Heading down first.

Push the button, Frank Lucas.

I push the safe into the corner and crack it. And immediately after I do, I realize the safe is suppose to go through the door. Pretty straight-forward.
New mechanic time! These amulet plates let us transform, but differently than moonlight. The gold lets us become wolf, the silver turns us into human.

 Breakable things! Yay!

Oh lord, this puzzle. It's nothing particularly straining, it's just a lot of movement. To get the box on the button you have to push it. The box originally starts next to the battery pad, meaning you have to push it all the way down, get it to the area by the door, and turn it around so you can push it onto the button.

Now we need the battery on that button so we can get the box here. But area is too small for any good maneuvering with two things.

So cue lots of moving.

This is a simple make the path puzzle. There's just a lot of transforming involved so you can alternate pushing and pulling the battery.

Here's our path. The only trick is you want to be pushing the final stretch.

This puzzle. This fucking puzzle. It tricks you. It lulls you into a false sense of security. The first step is clear, open the door push box on button to make bridge in upper right.

Now you have this box. Simple enough. Push it into the room close the change and close the door and swim around.

Get it here. OK we need to get the battery off that important bridge making button, so we'll drag the box and make a swap.

Not Pictured: Me accidentally moving the battery the wrong way.
Pictured: A restart.

Same steps minus fuck up and showing progress. OK, we're good.
Well we need the battery out of there and the box on that other button so lets do it.

Uh-oh. Remember, Wolf Lucas can't interact with doors. So now we are stuck
Well maybe if...

No. This doesn't work either. That statue and bookcase are in conspiracy against us.

I tried. I really tried. But the same problems remain.
I didn't show it because you'd just think I was pasting the same pictures. There were no less than four separate attempts. I consulted a walkthrough, which I absolutely loathe for myself to do because I like figuring out the puzzles by myself. The walkthrough got me in the same stuck scenario. So here I "die."

If you see where I fucked up tell me. The puzzle remains unsolved, but we can just go freely through the doors. I'm still fucking pissed at this puzzle. Having Strump say "Bob's your uncle" helped me smile a bit though.

And our reward for that exercise in frustration is safe.

Well then.

Pictured: Me realizing that the wooden box doesn't belong on that button. NOBODY LIKES YOU METAL CRATE.

After putting the metal crate in the time-out corner, we can easily move our battery to its proper home.

So. Many. Buttons. Also the button by Lucas and the panel interact with each other in term of a bridge/laser combo.

You may notice a distinct problem. We can't leave.

Now we can!

This doesn't look nearly as bas as that last one.

Pretty easy.

Oh goody.

Starting out on the wrong path. Promptly restart.

Priority #1: lasers.
Well that was stupid.

And there we go.

Now what's behind door #3?

WHAT. THE. FUCK.

Next time: Side quests! And maybe a library? Ah we'll see.
